Orientation programme

Online Orientation is designed to help you prepare for starting life at Cardiff University. It provides an overview of topics like mental health, study skills, and Welsh life, so you’re fully prepared for your time with us.

Orientation is divided into 19 sections known as ‘decks’, with bespoke decks for international students, postgraduate students (taught and research) and students studying at Heath Park Campus. You can complete each deck in any order you’d like.

Access

In early September, you will receive an email from welcome@cardiff.ac.uk titled ‘This is your Cardiff University Orientation’ with instructions on accessing Orientation.

Each link is unique and specific to you, so make sure you only access it from the link in your email.

We recommend you complete online orientation before you arrive on campus to be fully prepared for student life.
