Take on an active challenge

Don’t panic, you don’t have to be a marathon runner to take on an active challenge! Whatever your fitness or ability level, there’s a challenge to suit you.

However you choose to fundraise, you’ll be supporting life-changing neuroscience and mental health, and cancer research at Cardiff University.

Join an event

Wherever you are in the world, there are organised events you can join and fundraise as part of #TeamCardiff. If you’re local to Cardiff, why not check out some of the below events:

If you’re further afield, visit the Active.com website to see what’s on in your area.

Join a virtual event

Can't get to the event but want to join the fun? Some organised events offer a virtual option which means you can take part wherever you may be. Find virtual events.

Set your own challenge

If pre-organised events don’t appeal, you can design your own challenge. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Hike Offa’s Dyke, swim the channel in your local pool, challenge yourself to hit a mile or step target over a month, or cycle Land's End to John o' Groats? Whatever takes your fancy, our team is on hand to help you get your challenge off the starting blocks.

Overseas treks and challenges

We know our global #TeamCardiff community are an adventurous lot, and overseas treks and challenges (or local depending on where you are in the world!) are a great way to achieve a lifelong dream, experience something amazing, and make a difference.

From climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking Machu Pichu or walking the Camino de Santiago, there is a whole world of possibilities.

There are many providers who can help you find your perfect charity challenge including Charity Challenge and Discover Adventure.

Get in touch

If you’d like to find out more, discuss options, or tell us your #TeamCardiff fundraising plans, get in touch and we can help with all the advice and support you need to find the right option for you.
