Our Centre for Student Life is our one-stop hub for all of your student needs. Whether you’re looking for advice on health and wellbeing, preparing for your future, managing money or living in Cardiff, our expert, dedicated support staff will be on hand to support you. We’re here to help you succeed and make the most of your student life.

Your Student Connect team who are based in the Centre for Student Life are your first point of contact for connecting you to your Student Life teams.

We’ve also developed 24-hour online services and extended opening hours so all of our students, including those based at Heath Park, our distance learners and all those on placement or study abroad, can access the help they need, whenever they need it.

Health and wellbeing

University life can be full of ups and downs, and throughout your time here you may need someone to talk to. We have a range of support available to help you to look after your physical and mental wellbeing.

Advice and money

Getting on top of your finances can feel a bit overwhelming, but there are lots of ways we can support you and still make sure you enjoy student life to the fullest.

Support for disabled students

If you’re a disabled student, there’s a little more to think about when going to university. We are here to help you reach your full potential and make sure you get the right level of support so that all aspects of your study are accessible.

Student visa support

If you live outside of the UK, you will need to think about visas, immigration rules and possibly post study work visa options. We can advise you on how to apply for your student visa and provide bespoke guidance and information to support you settling into student life with us.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

We believe that anyone who would benefit from a university education should have access to one. But more than that, we want to create an environment where you enjoy your experience here at university and are able to achieve your absolute best while studying with us.

Student Mentor Scheme

Starting at university can be a little daunting and you might have lots of questions you'd prefer to ask a current student rather than a staff member. This is where having a student mentor can really help you settle in.

Student Connect

To make things easier to manage when you’re a student here, our Student Connect team will be your first point of contact when you need help: online, by phone or in person.

Residence Life

Starting university may be your first experience of living away from home in a different city. We understand this can be equally exciting and challenging, that's why our Residence Life team are here to help you settle in.

Practising your religion

Our Chaplaincy is a safe and welcoming service for people of all faiths and none. We have a strong history of diversity and culture, and welcome students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
