Emma Weir (Biosciences 2021-) is in the final year of her PhD at Cardiff’s Neuroscience and Mental Health Innovation Institute, looking into the mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, autism, and schizophrenia.

Developing vital early treatments for pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer currently has a 10-year survival rate of just 5%. As the disease can be difficult to detect until its late stages, intervention often comes too late for many patients.
